How to Play Before Flop
Pre-Flop
The decision how to play before Flop is one of the most important decisions of the entire game, however it’s not very difficult. You should base it on the rules presented previously:
- Fold - when your cards are weak with no chance for an improvement,
- Call - when your cards are bad with a chance for a significant improvement in succeeding deals (Draw),
- Raise - when your cards are the best but succeeding deals may bring their relative worsening in relation to other players.

Betting blind:
Rules of how to play before Flop on blind position shouldn’t be very different from the rules presented above. The major difference is that if you have already raised a part or the whole bet and if no one has raised it (Raise) before you, you can see a Flop “for free”. However, in case someone has raised it before you, you shouldn’t defend the contributed bet at all costs. If your cards are really very good, keep playing (Call) but if your cards are bad, don’t hesitate to pass (Fold).
